Founded in 1855, Concordia University Chicago is a private Lutheran college about ten miles west of Chicago. Each student signs the honor code pledge about respect and academic integrity. Additionally, each student has access to an academic advisor and a faculty advisor. Housing, dining services, and a recreation center are available.

At Concordia University Chicago, students can apply to the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Business, or, for graduate students, the College of Graduate and Innovative Programs. For graduate students, Concordia offers Master’s degrees, MBA’s, Doctoral degrees, and online programs. For exceptional students, the Honor Program at Concordia is a great thing to strive for.

In terms of athletics, the Cougars are NCAA Division III. For men’s sports, they have baseball, basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track and field teams. In women’s sports, there are basketball, cross country, lacrosee, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball teams. Their colors are maroon and gold.

Service learning, leadership, and faith are a large part of the Concordia experience. Concordia’s music groups frequently travel and perform nationally and internationally. There are numerous clubs and organizations that Concordia students can join for activities. In addition, there is a Black Student Union and a Latino Student Union.
